H&M Statement Earrings

I love accessorising outfits and I believe that adding the smallest item can completely change an the look of an outfit. Recently I have been loving all of the statement earrings that are coming back round in fashion, from high street to high end there have been some great designs that I can't wait to experiment with. This post features three pairs that I picked up at H&M, so super affordable and very stylish.

The first pair of earrings are these amazing star drop earrings from the Coachella range at H&M, they have a very modern 80's feel to them and I'm totally in love. I think these are going to be great to accessorise simple outfits, they would look great with a black wide leg jumpsuit and some platform heels for a night look. But I will be more than likely wearing them in the day with a more casual outfit.

Next are these simple gold hoop earrings, I really liked how the hoop sits on the earlobe and then you have the detail that hangs down. These are fairly dainty, the metal is quite thin, but I think with the detailing this works really well. This pair of earrings will be great to wear with slogan tee's throughout the summer and printed dresses.

Lastly are these evil eye inspired earrings. I liked how the colour palette has been muted to black and gold, and how there is cut out detail within the eye. I think these will look great paired with bright colours and monochromatic strips. I'm looking forward to trying out different outfits with these earrings.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and I would recommend checking out H&M for statement earrings if you're loving them as much as I am. Check out my instagram to some great earrings that I'm loving from MANGO at the moment!

LFW // Street Style

I love people watching and looking at what others are wearing. I get a lot of outfit ideas from others, but I don't usually document it. So I have decided to start taking pictures of outfits/people's style that I find interesting and could use it in my styling. So there could be some more street style posts popping up on my blog, but here is the first one...

I have always wanted to go to London Fashion Week but until now it's just been too far to travel for the day. So I made the most of being so close to London today and went to Brewer Street to get some Street Style shots. I was disappointed that I didn't see anyone famous...and then Lucinda Chambers drove past, so I was happy even though I didn't get a picture of her! Heres my favourite looks that I saw today:

A short and sweet post today, I'm going to put my feet up with a coffee after today.

OOTD // Mules

As you can probably tell from my last post, I couldn't wait to wear my new additions to my shoe collection! On Sunday we went out for Sunday dinner so the mules came out with us! I think these are going to be really versatile to style, and will go with a lot of outfits and looks! I went with more of a chilled outfit and added a bit of sass with this great fur bag from River Island for a chilled Sunday dinner. They're super comfy and I can see them being great for in the day as they're a lovely heel height, Next did good!

Just a short and sweet post today, I promise the post of different ways I'd style my new shoes are coming, however I've packed my clothes up ready to take to Uni so I need to have a rummage and pick some pieces out! I think it could be up Monday night as I'm at work until then, follow my Instagram to know as soon as it's up as it could be up before then...who knows!

Next Shoe Lovin'

Next isn't somewhere I usually look for shoes, however when I was on the hunt for some mules I decided to have a browse, as I hadn't had much luck anywhere else. And I was not disappointed, I spotted the mules that I wanted, and then I saw the button for the clearance section...and you know me, I can't resist a sale...

Buckle Sandal

I fell in love with these black buckle sandals when I was watching Megan Ellaby's Summer Shoe Addition's video a few weeks back. When I recently saw them in the sale I had to have them, I could not resist! They fit perfectly and they're super comfortable with the large block heel, which means they're easy to walk in (as I'm not the greatest in heels - I blame my height and not my lack of balance...)  I can't wait to style these up for the day and night!

Rust Mule

I've always admired mules from afar after a pair I got from Primark caused multiple blisters - not cool! However my love for them has gone up a notch so I thought I'd give them another go! I wanted some that weren't black, and preferably not leather. So I instantly fell in love with these, I think they're a beautiful colour that is lovely for all year round. I also like how the heel isn't too high so that I can wear them in the day.

Rose Gold Heel

Now if you've read some of my other posts you will know that I love anything rose gold. I love the rose gold shoes that office do, but they're a bit too expensive for my student budget. However I saw these in the clearance section and had to have them, I think they're super cute and pretty and would make the most basic outfit look stylish.

I'll be uploading a post on different ways I'd style each shoe in a few days, so follow me on Instagram to know as soon as it's up!

Haul // Uni | Home

Two weeks tomorrow and I'll be off to Uni, so I've slowly been getting bits ready for when I go. As usual I got a bit carried away today whilst shopping, and bought some bits that aren't even for uni but for my bedroom at home...I love interior design and I can't wait to get my own apartment and house so that I can decorate it! (this is my excuse when I'm asked why I'm buying so much homeware bits...)

Matalan have some lovely homeware bits, so I headed there today to have a wander, and it did not disappoint. Here's what I picked up:

I'm instantly drawn to things that have my initials on...make-up bag, cushion, mug you name it. So this pretty paisley 'C' was right up my street, I like how you can hang it up...however whilst I'm at Uni I think I'll lean it up on my bookshelf. This was also a bargain for only £1.
I also tend to hoard mugs, which doesn't make sense because you can only drink one cup of coffee at a time? I love handmade ceramic mugs that aren't perfect and shiny, but they're usually a bit more pricey, but for £1.50 this hand painted grey mug was mine. And of course the initial mug was mine because I can't help myself.

I love love love candles and I've got quite a collection in my room. I loved the glass that this candle is in, it would be nice to store make-up brushes or pens in after the candle has burnt out. It also smells lush, orange and bergamot, which will be lovely for autumn. I think this was on sale for £1 or around that price.
I've been looking for a mirror for Uni for a while now, one that I can sit on my desk and do my hair and make-up in. I finally found one that isn't too small but won't take up loads of room either. I love mirrors like this that are on chains or rope that you can hang on a wall. I'll definetley be keeping this for after uni and hanging it up somewhere! This was £6, which I think is really good cause it's a pretty decent size!

I am obsessed with copper, my bedroom at home and at Uni are both going to be full of copper accents. I have a plain white coat hanger like this one for in my bathroom at Uni. But I saw this in the sale for £4 and thought it would be really handy to have on the back of my door to hang jewellery, coats, bags or scarves off.
I think this could possibly be my first 'uni' related purchase. I saw this super cute jar shot glasses and decided that they were so adorable that I had to have them. I'm not even a fan of shots but they're just too cute not to have! Although they would look cute with succulent plants or flowers in them on a windowsill...so maybe they'll be used for decoration instead!

I nipped into Aldi to get a bit of shopping and came back with homeware things for Uni...a total me thing to do. Aldi isn't somewhere I'd think to go to look for cute homeware bits, but they had some really cute bits in today that were such a good price.

I love these enamel dishes, I think they're super cute to serve things up in. I wouldn't even know where to look for something like this, so when I saw this pack of 6 today for £6.99 I was quick to pick them up! I think these last for years and years and they'll always look cute, they have a vintage minimal feel to them and I'm just loving them!

I saw a similar copper glass hanging frame like this one on IWOOT a while back but it was around £10-£15 and with moving to Uni I decided not to buy them. I picked two of these up from Aldi today for £2.99 each, so these can stay in my room at home until I move out of halls, for that price it would be rude not to buy them! I can't wait for some picture's I've sent off for to be delivered so I can put them up in my room!
Aldi had a great selection of tins in today and I was torn between this biscuit size tin and a smaller rectangle tin. I decided this would be great for storing bits in and I've got a few smaller rectangle ones already. It's a pretty decent size for £3.99, now I just need to think what I could store in it...

I love Home Bargains, it has great arts and crafts bits, so I nipped in there for some acrylic paint and a few other bits. I saw these adorable glasses with glass bee's around the top. They were only 99p but look so much more expensive, they also had a jug to match, which would be perfect for summer garden parties for homemade cocktails or lemonade!

Anything rose gold and I'm there, so this cute notebook was mine. I'm a bit of a sucker for pretty stationary.  I've got quite a selection of notebooks...that keeps on growing! This was only £1.49 and it's similar to the Moleskin notebooks but for a fraction of the price! I also thought this folder was super cute, it was cheaper than 50p and will be handy to keep and important letters in.
I probably did not need this mason jar glass, but I thought it was very pretty and very cheap so it made it into my basket...at this rate I'll be able to have a drink everyday for 2 weeks in a new glass without doing and washing...and that's not even an exaggeration!

Are any of you off to Uni in September?

Outfit of the Day

I haven't done a single outfit post on this blog yet. I used to do them quite often on my old blog, as I like to experiment with my style day to day. This was a quick and casual outfit that I threw on Sunday morning, as I was at work all day and didn't have anything planned.

Pink Vest / Primark
White Shirt / Shana
Belt / Primark
Leather Coated Jeans / Primark
Pink Socks / Topshop
White Trainers / ASOS
Denim Jacket / Boohoo
Bag / Primark

Sunday night I finally gave in and sadly threw away these shoes, sad times! The material had wore away on my right foot so I kept getting blisters, I tried to save them but it didn't work, so I now need to look out for some more that are similar to these because they're such a great shoe for everyday.

Hope you've all had a lovely day

M.A.C // Lipstick Collection

If you have read any of my previous posts you will already know that my favourite lipsticks, and the only ones that I ever really wear are M.A.C matte's lipsticks, especially those of the nude shade. Over the past couple of years I've slowly built up a small collection, that I keep adding to. I thought I'd show my collection with swatches, as I usually get asked why I have so many nude shades, and are they not just the same colour?
Velvet Teddy has more of a pink tint to it, I find this is a great colour to wear as an every day lipstick as it's one of the more subtle shades that they do. It is also a similar colour to my lips without anything on.

Whirl is a warm solid brown tone, I wouldn't say that it has a hint of another shade in it compared to some other tones. I think this is great for more of a statement lip. I haven't had this one for very long but I do reach for it quite a lot as it's a lovely shade to wear with bronzed skin and gold eyes.

Persistence is a brown shade that has a dark orange tone to it, compared to Whirl you can tell it's slightly more orange and has a tiny hint of red. I picked this up in London earlier this week so I haven't had it for that long but I think it's a lovely colour and can see me wearing it a lot throughout the year.
Taupe is a light brown and orange shade, compared to Persistence it's definitely more orange and a lighter shade. I've had this for around 2 years now, I think it was the second lipstick that I bought, so there isn't a lot left. I do reach for this colour a lot as it is similar to Velvet Teddy with it being a lighter shade, where Velvet Teddy has a pink tint, this has an orange tint. So I find this colour is great for an everyday lip as well.

Bronze Shimmer is the only lipstick I own that isn't a matte lipstick, this one is a frost lipstick. I haven't worn this a lot, mainly because it got lost for around a year (it was in my shoe cupboard...?). However I think this is great for a statement lip if you pair it up with a brown tone and then wear this in the middle, or blend a brown lipliner around the outside and have this in the centre.

Stone is a colour that I wanted for ages as it was different to the other brown shades that I had. This is definitely a cool brown tone that almost has a grey tint to it. I don't wear this lipstick that often as it's definitely a statement tone for me.
Damn Glamorous is a bright red that sways more towards pink, I think. This is a lovely colour to wear with black cat flick eyeliner and thick lashes. It has a vintage feel to it, it's not a shade that I wear often as I tend to stick to brown shades.

Chilli is a red that I do wear more often as it has a brown tone to it. It's a deep red that is different to other colours that I've tried, it's definitely not got a berry tone to it which I find a lot of dark reds have.

Sin is a dark berry colour that is mostly a purple colour. For me this is definitely a statement lip as I am fairly pale so this washes me out, but not in that fashionable gothic way, I think I must have a very strange pale complexion. I do think that this looks lovely with a bronzed look, this is the lipstick that I have on in my last post.

As you can tell I definetly go for brown tones as I find they suit my complexion. Although I am now on the look out for a dark brown and red shade, I'm thinking Cockney, Dare You, Studded Kiss, Antique Velvet or Spice It Up! So I think a trip to MAC will be in order soon, as I find sometimes they look completely different to what they do online.

What's your go to lipstick?
